Burmese Christian Church Sydney September 2016 Pastor’s letter

Dear Members and Friends,

Hallelujah cold and wet winter is now over and welcome to spring time 2016. Sydney is so pretty with blooms, blossoms, green and colorful trees and flowers what a marvelous creation of God our heavenly Father. In seasons and out of seasons He is the Lord our God therefore we have nothing to complain but to rejoice in Him always.

On the first week of September we will celebrate fathers’ Day and honor all Dads near and far for who they are as God appointed leader of family and what they do as servants of God at home, at work, at church and for the kingdom of God.

When Joshua took over the leadership role from Moses he firmly knew what he and his family will do as he said to the Israelites Joshua 24:15 (ERV) 15 “But may be you don’t want to serve the Lord. You must choose for yourselves today. Today you must decide who you will serve. Will you serve the gods that your ancestors worshiped when they lived on the other side of the Euphrates River? Or will you serve the gods of the Amorites who lived in this land? You must choose for yourselves. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

Fatherhood today is challenged in many ways however choices needs to be made by household leaders whether to follow God’s will or live in a worldly influence. I would like to encourage all the fathers at church and in our connection not to lose sight following Christ Jesus who always look up to the heavenly Father as he showed the way, the truth and the life. Life without Christ is very dangerous because the enemy is there waiting for us to steal, to kill and to destroy leaders of the house but Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob set the very best example to live by faith in this very end time. Many house leaders “Fathers” are ignoring the existence of God, the authority of God’s words and do not believe in the promises of God and living in their own ways, many are perishing without hope and not knowing what to believe and whom to believe. We as fathers in tosays world we can share our experience of God’s love, mercies and grace to the lost generation and stand as ambassadors of the kingdom of God. We exist to celebrate God’s presence, we live to please God by faith and we have a purpose to share the good news of Jesus. Have a very Blessed Fathers’ Day 2016. Amen.
